Someone Who Inspired Us
This February, founder and director Lee Brian Schrager’s Food Network and Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival will once again take over Miami and Fort Lauderdale’s food scenes with more than 100 events. To date, the annual event has raised more than $28 million for the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University.

Festival season offers plenty of juried art shows and fairs, ranging from October’s Annual Las Olas Art Fair to the Annual Downtown Delray Beach Thanksgiving Weekend Art Festival to Art Basel Miami Beach the first week of December. Brush up on art and design basics—and score good fare in the process—at the Grandview Public Market, a food hall extraordinaire and the Norton Museum of Art’s temporary home while its West Palm Beach digs undergo expansion.
