This week, the New York Public Library (an institution that has distinguished itself with meaningful moments during this crisis) put together “Missing Sounds of New York.” The album, which is free on the NYPL website and Spotify, features eight inscrutably enjoyable tracks of ambient New York-ness, from grinding subway cars to rowdy baseball fans.
