The Local Next Door: Williamsburg with Sydney Blumstein

Unique, evolving, highbrow, lowbrow. That’s how Sydney Blumstein describes Williamsburg, Brooklyn, her home of more than a decade. Follow along as the second-generation Corcoran agent hits her favorite neighborhood haunts.

Here’s where you might spot Sydney:

Brooklyn Training Hall (321 Scholes Street) — This family-owned warehouse gym is home base for the Blumstein family’s wellness routine.

Win Son Bakery (164 Graham Avenue) — Because there’s no better post-workout reward than a bacon, egg, and cheese scallion pancake.

Lella Alimentari (325 Manhattan Avenue) — Another savory breakfast favorite, on the corner of Manhattan Ave. and Conselyea St.

Devoción (69 Grand Street) — A lush, plant-filled coffee roastery in an old North Side warehouse. Sydney also frequents Hungry Ghost on Bedford Ave.

Stella Dallas Living (281 N. 6th Street) — Sydney’s favorite vintage shop in the neighborhood.

Suzume (545 Lorimer Street) — Often the first dinner spot on the list, up there with Lilia and Aurora.

Williamburg Pizza (265 Union Avenue) — Sydney’s favorite grandma slice. It feels like it’s an old-school pizza shop inside, but it’s a new vibe.

The Wythe Hotel (80 Wythe Avenue) — In a neighborhood with fabulous hotels, a good staycation is always a time.
