No matter how you feel about face masks, they’re here to stay for a while. Fortunately, the style standard has evolved beyond the operating room. Fashion designers are getting in on the act. Ralph Lauren has promised 250,000 masks for healthcare professionals, and Eileen Fisher is making masks for first responders at its workshop in Irvington, New York. Among the masks available to consumers, we’re fond of Matrushka’s $10 version, cut and sewn by hand at the company’s Los Angeles shop using colorful cotton scraps.
