by INHABIT EDITORS

A monthly showcase of the most spectacular listings across the Corcoran network.

From the Atlantic coast to the middle of the Pacific, enjoy our survey of Corcoran’s most incredible listings across the country and beyond. Taking center stage this month: A restored Brooklyn brownstone, a sleek double-waterfront in South Florida, a remote island oasis in Puerto Rico, two listings with slides (yes, you read that right), and a soaring oceanfront masterpiece in Southern California.

Manhattan

What’s Here: Top-floor living in a coveted pre-war building, with four exposures and all the treasures of the Upper East Side right out the door. Soaring atop a c.1917 J.E.R. Carpenter-designed co-op, this four-bedroom residence has been completely reimagined by Hottenroth + Joseph Architects. The majestic living and dining rooms form the ideal entertainment space, replete with a wood-burning fireplace and unobstructed skyline views. Whatever adjectives you use to describe it, this home’s kitchen is undeniably adorned—black cosmic granite countertops, custom cabinetry, modern appliances, and more—with top-of-the-line form and function.

What We Love: The expansive primary bedroom suite is adjacent to—and shares a double-sided fireplace with—a handsome library along Park Avenue, meaning you’ll always have a bedtime story close at hand if you need one.

Brooklyn

What’s Here: A Queen-Anne style brownstone—with its Mansard roof, terra cotta detailing, and weather vane—with next-level curb appeal even. Situated in the Cobble Hill Historic District, the four-bedroom residence has windows facing north, south, and west, flooding it all with natural light. You’ll enter into a charming living room with custom shelving and a fireplace, which flows seamlessly into the dining room and kitchen. There, you’ll find a staircase to the windowed lower level, with even more living space. The primary suite sits upstairs, boasting a dressing room in addition to a skylit, hardwood-floored, mosaic-tiled ensuite bath.

What We Love: Retreat from city life without leaving it. A verdant back garden and a top-floor bedroom terrace provide a dynamic duo of serene, private outdoor space.

East End

What’s Here: Cottage-like spirit contained within the archetypal Southampton Village estate. There is a humble elegance to this eight-bedroom home, which spreads across two vibrant acres. After taking a deep anticipatory breath on the columned front porch, exhale with awe as a tremendous sense of highly-honed detail greets you with coffered ceilings, arched doorways, and more. The exterior of this home is as vital as the interior. Entertain guests in many fashions, whether it’s an afternoon by the pool, bocce tournaments on the private court, or simply gathering ‘round the wraparound back porch for dinner and libations.

What We Love: An added air of cozy grace emanates from the home’s numerous fireplaces. Find them only enhancing the refined atmosphere in the wood-paneled library, living and dining rooms, and the primary suite.

New Jersey

What’s Here: Originally built in 1950, this six-bedroom stone manor underwent a complete renovation in 2022, resulting in what is essentially 9,044 square feet of new construction. There are two well-outfitted kitchens, a wine room with a wet bar, and a heated pool surrounded by a stone terrace, as well as a six-car garage. A magnificent staircase leads from the foyer with its dramatic black-and-white parquet floors to upstairs.

What We Love: Careful attention has been paid to the decoration of each room, with different designs of molding of the walls of the bedrooms and living areas. The four full bathrooms and three powder rooms have each have their own distinct personalities—some are sleek and serene, while others boast whimsical wallpapers and chandeliers.

South Florida

What’s Here: The best of both worlds in South Florida. Want white-sand beaches and endlessly blue views over the Atlantic waves? Look east. Is today more fit for the calming solitude of the Intracoastal? Turn around to the west. It’s a rare treat, but one this coast-spanning Jupiter Island enclave takes full advantage of. Explore immaculate grounds that incorporate tropical gardens, water features, and entertaining areas (when you’re not daydreaming out the primary suite’s ocean-view windows). Inside, all three stories of this Art Deco-inspired residence wow with flairs like double-height ceilings, a floating staircase, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

What We Love: The home is designed as a six-bedroom but offers flexibility to transform any sleeping space into an office, gym, or whatever else is needed.

Central Florida

What’s Here:  There’s enough room in this custom-built 12 bedroom manse for the whole gang. There are also two bunk rooms designed to sleep eight in each, including a Harry Potter play area with a slide and a foam pit.

What We Love: If, by chance, the house is not enough to tire out all the guests, there’s an active transferrable membership available to the Reunion Resort, which includes access to three golf courses, foot golf, mini golf, six restaurants, twelve swimming pools, a water park, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and more. Finally, Disney World and Universal Studios are a couple of miles away.
