Corcoran Global Living to Sponsor Tahoe Fashion Show
The League to Save Lake Tahoe is taking their 51st annual fashion show virtual — and we’re thrilled to help bring the runway home.
Known the world over for its iconic “Keep Tahoe Blue” bumper sticker, the League is the region’s preeminent environmental nonprofit and has spent more than six decades championing the protection of the lake’s sparkling alpine waters, influencing federal, state and local policy to preserve the Jewel of the Sierras for generations to come.
Corcoran Global Living is proud to join Saks Fifth Avenue, Oscar de la Renta and a roster of leading sponsors standing behind the multi-day event in its modified format, running Thursday, July 30th through Saturday, August 1. Headlining this year is an exclusive preview of De la Renta’s PreFall | Fall 2020 Collection, presented by Creative Directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia—debriefed in-conversation with Saks fashion director Roopal Patel.
Traditionally held “IRL” in Incline Village, the League has held the haute benefit since 1969, when designer Bill Blass had his first models walk the plywood runway on the lake’s twinkling shores. He passed the reins to De la Renta 30 years later, and the much-anticipated fundraisers have to date raised more than $20 million for local conservation causes, becoming Tahoe’s must-attend social event of summer.
While the “social” aspect this year might be distanced, there’s still plenty on the rack. Programming will begin at 5pm PDT daily, with scheduled highlights to include the following:
- “Cooking in Style” with Kim, Garcia and Angie Mar, chef at New York’s Beatrice Inn
- Beauty secrets with Kim and cosmetics guru Gucci Westman
- Trunk shows with virtual appointments, hosted by Saks and Chopard
- Exclusive mini-documentaries
- An auction sponsored by Saks and De la Renta, Gucci, Dior, Chopard, Tahoe Beach Club and others
Registration is required. The site will remain live for virtual attendees through Wednesday, August 5th.
“This event is an institution in Tahoe, one close to our agents’ hearts,” remarked Michael Mahon, Corcoran Global Living’s CEO. “We’re thankful for the opportunity to help guests enjoy it safely from their homes and join us in supporting this great cause.”
