As Women’s History Month draws to a close, we’re highlighting five agents recognized by the Corcoran community for their embodiment of our “Live Who You Are” philosophy. Their dedication to clients, commitment to their communities, and support of their colleagues make them an inspiration to all.
Jackie Roth
Jackie, an agent in our SoHo office was nominated by Paula Manikowski, Senior Managing Director of the SoHo office. Jackie has a deep commitment to inclusion, diversity, and accessibility. She is a native New Yorker, a feminist, and an activist. Jackie is deaf and the child of deaf parents; since childhood, she has been an advocate for the Deaf community, explaining, “I was my parents’ ears and voice.” She has continued to be the ears and voice for so many, always sensitive to the concerns of others and speaking up for a more just world. After 9/11, Jackie became a first responder with the American Red Cross, starting with serving food at Ground Zero. Jackie is also an actress, appearing in theater, television, and film, and she was a producer of Sound and Fury, an Oscar-nominated documentary.
Ramona Vicenty
Ramona was nominated by her colleague Jay Goldman, who said, “She’s an amazing force with an amazing heart, who contributes her time to help people in need. She’s a woman to be looked up to.” Ramona has an unwavering commitment to her colleagues, her clients, and her community. Her work in the community is extensive and she always jumps in to help whenever there is a need. After Hurricane Sandy, she organized a volunteer neighborhood beach cleanup. More formally, she serves as the CEO of the Board of Directors of the Ajkun Ballet Theater and is also the Director of Membership of the Board of Directors of the Westchester branch of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
Tania De Jesus
Tania, an agent in our Surfside/Bal Harbor office, was nominated by her husband, Fernando De Jesus. Fernando told us about how in 2021, he ruptured his Achilles tendon and was, as he puts it, “benched for the year.” Fernando told us that Tania has it all figured out and has never wavered in her support. In 2021, Tania had her best sales year ever, while never missing a soccer game for her three sons and supporting her husband during his recovery. Tania grew up in New York, near West Point, and is passionate about the Brazilian martial art capoeira. Eventually, she moved to Brazil to learn more about the culture and the language, and now speaks Portuguese fluently. After meeting and marrying her husband in Brazil, Tania moved back to the United States, settling in South Florida.
Andreea Miller
Nominated by her colleague Alexandra Beech, Andreea is described by Alexandra as a “culture carrier” for the Corcoran philosophy. “Andreea is a brilliant real estate agent who understands complex transactions and white glove customer service; however, what makes her unique is she does not put herself on a pedestal or brag. She does the opposite,” says Alexandra. “Instead, she is open to questions, generous in her knowledge, and is enthusiastic for her colleagues’ success.” Andreea is a true asset to her office and to the Corcoran community at large, always cheering on her colleagues to do their best. “Every new agent and office should be lucky enough to have someone like her to turn to for help, support, and inspiration,” says Alexandra.
Cara Sadownick
Cara is one half of the powerhouse Nielsen Sadownick Team in our Brooklyn Heights office. Cara was nominated by her colleague Ellen Gottlieb, who says, “Her commitment to her work, her community, social justice, politics, and her family is limitless!” Cara is a Brooklynite born and bred, always working to improve her community. She is a member of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, Cobble Hill Neighborhood Association, and has been a part of Corcoran Cares since 2008. Cara has been a diligent fundraiser for Corcoran Cares, which has raised more than $4 million since its inception for charities in our three home regions, as well as internationally.
