Corcoran Horizon Hits the Slopes

The first Corcoran affiliate in Canada used their recent Ski Day as a chance to create an immersive brand experience, ensuring everyone at Mount St. Louis Moonstone felt the warmth of their hospitality.
In late 2024, Corcoran Horizon Realty expanded to scenic Port Severn, Ontario, in the heart of Muskoka’s “cottage country.” The brokerage decided to celebrate the joys of the area during its snowiest season with a team ski day at Mount St. Louis Moonstone, a popular ski resort in Coldwater, Ontario. Some 130 clients — invited via email and social media — attended the event, each enjoying a complimentary lift pass and plenty of fun extras, including free pizza and hot chocolate, a private room to mix and mingle, a photo booth, and even a live DJ.
“Muskoka is often referred to as the Hamptons of the north, and it’s one of the most beautiful places in Canada 12 months of the year,” said Adrienne Lake, the firm’s managing broker. “We were so happy to have this ski day for our clients and really introduce the Corcoran brand to the area.”

Corcoran slogans were printed on the bars of the ski lift along with a QR code to the website, so all season visitors will see “There’s snow place like home” and “This season, warm up by your own fire,” as they ride up the hill.

Mount St. Louis Moonstone is a family-owned ski resort on the heels of celebrating its 60th season, having opened during the winter of 1964. The mountain has 72 hectares of skiable terrain, 35 ski slopes, and two freestyle terrain parks — an outdoor area with terrain for skiers and snowboarders to practice their freestyle moves — which are considered among the best in the country. It’s less than a two-hour drive from Greater Toronto, but just minutes from much of Muskoka’s most sought-after locales. “We have beautiful lakes and summer activities, but there is still so much to do in the winter months,” remarked Jeffrey Braun, a Corcoran Horizon agent with the Port Severn office. “This ski day was a great way to show off the Muskoka area in the winter. ”
The storied vacation spot was a natural expansion for Corcoran Horizon, which already operated in Toronto, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and other feeder markets throughout Ontario. The company, Corcoran’s first brand affiliate in Canada, joined the network in October of 2023.
“We really made quite the splash on the hill that day,” added Megan Furlong, director of operations for Corcoran Horizon. “Everyone was asking who we were and what we were doing, so it was definitely a great opportunity for Corcoran in an area where we just opened a new office.”
