on Both Coasts

These condos and cabins offer the perfect setting to kick back after a long day on the slopes.

A place of your own to hang your skis and snowboards, allowing you to stretch out after a day schussing down the mountain, is the ultimate dream for many snow lovers. From Tahoe to the Catskills, Corcoran is proud to represent some of America’s most coveted destinations to ski, snowboard, and socialize. Here is but a sampling of the delightful ski houses listed throughout our network.

Catskills/Hudson Valley

Panoramic Catskill views are aplenty from this mid-19th-century farmhouse, reimagined with touches like vaulted exposed beam ceilings, modern appliances, and a refurbished living room fireplace. However, the country heart of the property remains, as seen in the woodstove-warmed open kitchen, clawfoot bathtub with a view, and small backyard orchard. Tearing down a mountain provides an undeniable rush, but sometimes simply gazing up at them can be its own reward. Nevertheless, the slopes are only a short trip away for whenever you tire of just looking.

Upon ascending the stone pillar-flanked driveway and stepping onto the gable-roofed porch, it’s clear this log cabin among the mountains means business. A sun-drenched living room gets taken up a notch by log-trussed, vaulted ceilings and dramatic acres-spanning vistas. Envision your next great ski run from the comforts of the couch as you look out onto Hunter Mountain in the distance. The kitchen’s curved island has room for family and then some, as does the dining area. In the back, a deck spans the second level with another dining room on one side and an outdoor living room beside a fireplace on the other.

If these walls could talk, what a history they would recount! Built in 1750, this stone house in Saugerties has been updated for 21st century living, with smart controls for heating, cooling, outdoor lights, and remote locking, as well as a new HVAC system. It’s about a half hour drive to Hunter Mountain for skiing and upon your return, you can curl up by the fire—either indoors next to the fireplace and the nine-foot hearth or outside next to the firepit and circular seating area. During the summer, swim in the in-ground saltwater pool.

Lake Tahoe

A true Tahoe cabin in the perfect location, with the Truckee River across the street, walking distance to dining and shopping, and a ten minute drive to Squaw Valley or a fifteen minute drive to Alpine Meadows. The Truckee River Bike Trail runs right in front of the cabin and goes to downtown Tahoe City or West Shore. Extensively remodeled, this is a straightforward, unpretentious cabin that is private and secluded, yet convenient to everything Tahoe has to offer.

This spectacular four-bedroom retreat is part of the resort community of Old Greenwood, in Truckee. Residents here can join the Tahoe Mountain Club, which offers exclusive and brag-worthy amenities at nearby Northstar. Club members can change into their gear at the private locker room, before riding the shuttle to the slopes,  At lunch, stop by Schaffer’s Camp, a members-only five-star restaurant.
