Rhode Island
What’s Here: A gorgeous and generously sized condo just one block from Bristol Harbour, with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Originally known as the Belvedere Hotel, the building was constructed in 1901 by boatbuilder John Brown Herreshoff as a place for his clients — which included the likes of J.P. Morgan, Harold Vanderbilt, and Jay Gould — to stay when inspecting their yachts. Covering nearly 2,500 square feet, the unit feels like a single-family house, but with the ease of condominium living. Plus, the great room has a fireplace and a door that opens out to a private balcony.
What We Love: Location, location, location! From here, it’s easy to enjoy all that Bristol has to offer: The East Bay Bike Path, a highly walkable downtown, and waterfront parks are all just outside the building’s front door. Bristol has become quite the culinary destination in recent years, and you’ll be close to many of the locals’ favorite eateries.
